Aftermath was started 20 years ago by Lee Lowe, who, despite not being quite as sprightly as he was then, still runs the club along with a capable committee.
The result is a club that is vibrant, safe, inclusive, expeditionary, and fun. Stuffy and stale we aren’t!
The club takes place every Tuesday evening from 1830 until around 2230 at Lazar House on Sprowston Road in Norwich (New Catton).
Lazar House has a fascinating history, constructed in around 1120 by the first Bishop of Norwich as a leper colony, of which the remaining building was the Magdalen Chapel. It is a wonderfully inspiring place in which to game.
We also organise quarterly club open event days, where members can organise space to game through the day. This allows for the planning of bigger games that require more space and time to play – perfect for epic encounters!
Everyone is welcome at Aftermath and we play almost anything. If there is a card, board, or miniatures game you’re interested in, then there is a strong chance someone at the club is playing it!
We also organise our annual show at the Forum in Norwich. Called ‘Diceni’, it is a huge effort by all concerned and we are always looking for people to get involved in helping us to connect with the local community through the show.
If you are interested in checking us out, drop us an email and Lee will get back to you to arrange a tour so you can see if we might be a good fit.
Please note we are an adults only club and cannot accommodate under 18’s.
